The Right Solution |
We never try to sell a lighting technology or solution without first understanding the needs of your facility. The technology and design we recommend will be determined only AFTER we understand YOUR objectives and how they impact your operation. The right solution may include refitting existing light fixtures with the newest internal components or possibly reconfiguring and reducing the total number of fixtures with newer LED technology and lighting controls.
As a design-build professional services firm we would rather not participate in a three-bids-and-a-cloud-of-dust exercise without a project specification against companies that are out to make a quick buck by cherry picking a project and offering the cheapest cookie-cutter "LED" option they can find. Unless there is a well defined scope of work and equipment specifications there is nothing to protect your investment for the future. |
The Right Price |
As a result of our long-term relationships with manufacturers, distributors and installation partners, Waypoint is able to offer our services at a competitive price.
A well-designed lighting system that includes lighting controls with quality, long-life components may have a slightly higher first cost and longer simple payback but will yield greater cost savings and have a higher ROI, lower life-cycle cost and provide a higher-quality work environment. Make sure you are evaluating an apples-to-apples solution because no two project designs are alike. Without a well defined scope of work and equipment specifications two proposals may have nothing in common. |
Fully Insured |
We've never had an insurance claim, but you can rest easy knowing that if something were to happen on your project, Waypoint Lighting is fully insured. We even carry Professional Liability (Errors & Omissions) coverage for your protection, which our competitors don't have.

Lighting Controls & Installation |
Many facilities have lighting systems that provide continuous light to spaces that are only used briefly throughout the day. These spaces can be entire warehouses, workstations, private offices, break rooms or restrooms. Waypoint Lighting has extensive experience installing low-cost wireless controls which can make lighting retrofit projects more cost effective than they have ever been. The wireless systems can be interfaced directly to the existing building automation system. Additionally, many states and cities are now requiring commercial buildings to meet more stringent lighting codes such as the IECC 2015 as part of any lighting upgrade.
|
Light & Data Loggers |
The only way to determine the potential value of lighting controls is by using light and data loggers to track lighting burn hours and space occupancy. Waypoint Lighting can conduct a detailed time-of-use lighting study to determine how often spaces are being used and how much energy is being wasted. Afterwards, with study results in hand, customers can make an informed decisions about additional investments in lighting controls.
|
Responsiveness |
The Waypoint Lighting team is a reliable source of support through the entire lighting upgrade process. Whether the project is near our home base in Austin, Texas or states away, Waypoint consultants are available to meet at your facility face-to-face. We don't let distance or travel time become an excuse. Many issues that could take days to resolve with back and forth emails and phone calls can be resolved in a few hours with an onsite meeting and inspection. Having the flexibility to travel when needed allows Waypoint to provide a high level of personal contact and project support from start to finish.

Recycling recovers 96% as glass, 2% as aluminum, less than 2% as phosphor and less than 1% as mercury for refining. The following material is collected, stored and shipped directly to the recycler:
